Bowling Green Country Club

The unique and challenging course offers nine greens with eighteen tee boxes for an experience unlike any other in Northwest Ohio. Choose from four tees on each hole to create your own 18-hole round. There are recommended pairings for each age or skill level, but the choice is ultimately up to you. (Members, please remember that you should play the same tees every time and clearly mark which tees are played for accurate handicapping.) Don't forget to set aside some time to stop into the pro shop and say hello!

The owner Melanie Jackson has been apart of the Bowling Green community for about 23 years. Melanie first came to Bowling Green, Ohio to pursue a graduate degree at BGSU. She received a Master’s degree in psychology and development there. Melanie and her husband are pretty well known in the community for various reasons. One being they both run a youth football and cheerleading program that they started in 2010. They have flag football for kid’s kindergarten through third grade, tackle football for third through sixth grade and cheerleading for kindergarten through sixth grade. The Bowling Green Community Pool

With the heat rising there is no better way to cool off than at the Bowling Green Community Pool and Waterpark. Just a short drive outside of town, the community pool is great for people of all ages. Recently, the pool has opened its newest addition a splash pad! The pool also has a water-slide, lazy river, and lap pool. You can enjoy refreshing beverages, snacks, and frozen treats from the concession stand located at the facility. The pool opens at 12 PM on the weekends and 1 PM during the week. You can enjoy your pool day until 8:45 PM. If you are a pass-holder you can enter the pool an hour before the pool opens to the public! Daily pass prices start at just $6 for adults and $4.75 for children.  The pool opened May 27 th and will remain open till August 16 th .  Post season the pool will be open August 17 th through September 4 th weekends only. 50th Anniversary of The Annual Tractor Pulling Championships in Bowling Green

Bowling Green offers plenty of activities during the summer, but one of the most exciting events to kick off the end of the summer season is the National Tractor Pulling Championships!  Come one, come all to experience one of the biggest events Bowling has to offer. This year is noteworthy because it is the 50 th anniversary of the annual National Tractor Pulling Championships! The Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association (NWOTPA) became the Wood County Tractor Pullers in 1962 with 20 members in Bowling Green, Ohio. In 1964 the club started to grow in membership because people from different counties wanted to join, and the club then changed the name to the Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association. The first year that Bowling Green held the National Tractor Pulling Championships was in 1967.   This year the Tractor Pulls will be starting on Thursday, August 18 th through Sunday August 21 st located at the Wood Country Fairgrounds.
