Wood County Historical Center & Museum

Now a beautiful museum, the Wood County Infirmary was in operation from 1869-1971 catering to the county's poor, mentally ill, physically disabled and infirmed. The 36,000 square-foot Victorian-era building sits on 50 acres of land with many out-buildings, a beautiful herb garden, log cabin and more! This historical site has withstood the test of time and with so much attention to historical detail and investment in infrastructure it feels like stepping back in time. With frequently changing exhibits and multiple great events per year, this is a great place to visit. Check out their website to see all the up and coming exhibits and great events.
