City Park

City Park is a great place to take the family for a day of fun in the community. The park has a water-park with a slide, lazy river, splash pad and more. Additional park fun includes the excellent playgrounds, there is one for children four years and under and another for children who are age’s five to twelve. Rental facilities located in the park include five community shelters with electricity and the Needle Hall building with an event rom and stage. Also in the park, is a roller hockey rink, a dynamic skate park, basketball courts, and a baseball field. Located next to the park is the Bowling Green Country Club, a beautiful nine-hole golf course. City Park always has something fun going on so check out their website for event and program details.

The Bowling Green Community Pool

With the heat rising there is no better way to cool off than at the Bowling Green Community Pool and Waterpark. Just a short drive outside of town, the community pool is great for people of all ages. Recently, the pool has opened its newest addition a splash pad! The pool also has a water-slide, lazy river, and lap pool. You can enjoy refreshing beverages, snacks, and frozen treats from the concession stand located at the facility. The pool opens at 12 PM on the weekends and 1 PM during the week. You can enjoy your pool day until 8:45 PM. If you are a pass-holder you can enter the pool an hour before the pool opens to the public! Daily pass prices start at just $6 for adults and $4.75 for children.  The pool opened May 27 th and will remain open till August 16 th .  Post season the pool will be open August 17 th through September 4 th weekends only. 50th Anniversary of The Annual Tractor Pulling Championships in Bowling Green

Bowling Green offers plenty of activities during the summer, but one of the most exciting events to kick off the end of the summer season is the National Tractor Pulling Championships!  Come one, come all to experience one of the biggest events Bowling has to offer. This year is noteworthy because it is the 50 th anniversary of the annual National Tractor Pulling Championships! The Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association (NWOTPA) became the Wood County Tractor Pullers in 1962 with 20 members in Bowling Green, Ohio. In 1964 the club started to grow in membership because people from different counties wanted to join, and the club then changed the name to the Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association. The first year that Bowling Green held the National Tractor Pulling Championships was in 1967.   This year the Tractor Pulls will be starting on Thursday, August 18 th through Sunday August 21 st located at the Wood Country Fairgrounds.
