Adults ages 18 and up gather at Simpson Garden & Sculpture Park at dusk for refreshments before heading out with flashlights in hand for the Scramble. It is a leisurely walk from the reception area to the event area and then a mad dash to gather as many of the 600 eggs as possible. Ohanami Cherry Blossom Festival This Annual Japanese Cultural Experience is brought to us by the Japanese Club at BGSU. There is a grove of Japanese Cherry trees which beautify the campus with pink blossoms each spring. These trees were donated by Japanese delegates and it is this generous gift that sparked the tradition of this annual festival. There are hands-on activities such as origami, character writing, rice ball making and more. Be delighted by fun games for kids and adults and entertained by cultural performances and demonstrations such as: Taiko drums, singing, dancing, skits, martial arts and more. There is lovely food and a festive atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who makes this amazing event possible.
