The Bowling Green Community Pool

With the heat rising there is no better way to cool off than at the Bowling Green Community Pool and Waterpark. Just a short drive outside of town, the community pool is great for people of all ages. Recently, the pool has opened its newest addition a splash pad! The pool also has a water-slide, lazy river, and lap pool. You can enjoy refreshing beverages, snacks, and frozen treats from the concession stand located at the facility. The pool opens at 12 PM on the weekends and 1 PM during the week. You can enjoy your pool day until 8:45 PM. If you are a pass-holder you can enter the pool an hour before the pool opens to the public! Daily pass prices start at just $6 for adults and $4.75 for children. 

The pool opened May 27th and will remain open till August 16th. 

Post season the pool will be open August 17th through September 4th weekends only. The community pool is a hidden gem in the Bowling Green community and I strongly urge you to check it out! The lifeguards and staff on duty will make your day safe and worry free. The pool has also been awarded the OPRA (Ohio Parks and Recreation Association) Award of Excellence! If you ever find yourself wanting something to do inside city limits the community pool would be a wonderful place to go! It’s Bowling Green’s own oasis.

50th Anniversary of The Annual Tractor Pulling Championships in Bowling Green

Bowling Green offers plenty of activities during the summer, but one of the most exciting events to kick off the end of the summer season is the National Tractor Pulling Championships!  Come one, come all to experience one of the biggest events Bowling has to offer. This year is noteworthy because it is the 50 th anniversary of the annual National Tractor Pulling Championships! The Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association (NWOTPA) became the Wood County Tractor Pullers in 1962 with 20 members in Bowling Green, Ohio. In 1964 the club started to grow in membership because people from different counties wanted to join, and the club then changed the name to the Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association.
