Passport to BG Winner announced

Passport to BG was September 21 & 22, 2014

This Free event for visitors and community members highlighted fun things to do, great places to eat and interesting places to shop in Bowling Green, Ohio. Passports were distributed from Grounds for Thought, Finders Records, the Wood County District Public Library and the BG/BGSU Visitor Center at 2151 Alumni Drive.  Passports were filled with super discounts and giveaways and stamped by participating businesses. With 10 or more stamps, the passport could be turned in to a distribution location to enter-to-win a great prize package. Participating guests could get a free rose, a free cup of soup, free popcorn, free Johnny Cakes, free candy and cookie samples, a photo op with a 56 T-Bird, super discounts and much more!

The Passport to BG participating locations included: Main Street Ace Hardware, Agricultural Kitchen, Art-a-Site!, Asherah's Garden - Full Service Holistic Boutique, Ben Franklin Crafts, BGSU Art Galleries, BGSU Planetarium, Bowling Green Hats & Apparel, Calico Sage & Thyme, Coyote Beads, Finders Records, Forrest Creason Golf Course, Gallery Salon & Spa, For Keeps, Klotz Floral & Garden, Main Street Photo, Mosaic Consignment Studio, Schooner Farms, Serenity Salon & Spa, Simpson Garden Park, Snook's Dream Cars, Student Book Exchange, The Busy Thimble, The Wood County Historical Center and The Wood County Public Library.  

And the winner is

The prize package was won by: Meghan Murray, a BGSU student in the college of Visual Communications & Technology, "I am very surprised to win and really impressed with all the gifts in the prize. I am also very thankful to be the winner!", Murray said with a smile.

Murray went on to say, "The first time I visited most of these locations was during the passport. I had no idea some of these places existed. It was so fun to participate in the passport program."

Passport to BG had great participation in its first year with 317 Passports used, 35 of which were filled with 10 or more stamps and entered into the drawing. The prize package winner was randomly selected in a blind impartial drawing. The Bowling Green Convention & Visitors Bureau would like to thank all of the participating guests and businesses.
