National Travel and Tourism Week 2017

Bowling Green, Ohio loves to celebrate! We celebrate with music, art, food and different events all year long. Most of you know that we have numerous events each year such as: Winterfest BG Chillabration, ArtWalk, Classics on Main Car Show, National Tractor Pulling Championships and Black Swamp Arts Festival to name a few of the big ones. But this year the CVB is celebrating National Travel & Tourism Week from May 7 th through the 13 th . So what better way to celebrate than with an event? On Wednesday May 10 th , the CVB is hosting Tacos for Tourism from 4:30p – 7p.  Come and have a ‘fiesta’ with us and dine on local Mexican finger-food, and learn why Bowling Green is a destination. The community and business of Bowling Green are all welcome to come. 2016 Visitors Guide

The Bowling Green, Ohio Convention and Visitors Bureau provides a visitors guide for an individual visiting the city and/or a current resident searching to learn more about what Bowling Green has to offer. Inside the 2016 edition, visitors will find twenty-two pages packed full of the area’s 5 A’s: accommodations, amenities, accessibility, activities, and attractions. Here’s a summary that will discuss the important information of the city’s 5 A’s that can easily be found in this 2016 visitors guide. For those who aren’t familiar with the Convention and Visitor Bureau, there are two locations in the area to help serve visitors to the community. The Visitor center is located off of Interstate 75, at 2151 Alumni Drive and the new Convention and Visitor Bureau office is located in the Four Corners Center downtown at 130 S. The Heartland Travel Showcase

All of these states gather together annually, in order to promote their cities and attractions to tour operators. T our Operators will have appointments scheduled with exhibitors of their choice. These exhibitors then showcase their city’s special events and attractions. There is a session, for the first time exhibitors where they can learn about the structure and process of the showcase. B eginning in 2016 the state of Ohio has debuted a brand new tourism logo campaign to use for years to come, and it’s certainly different! Ohio Tourism has decided to use an eye-catching new symbol that features an outline of the state of Ohio, with ‘Ohio’ scripted within. But it’s the new catchphrase that is the most exciting. “Find it Here”, so simplistic in nature, but allows for such a great variety! Ohio is like a ‘blank canvas’ for Tourism, which allows this new campaign to guide its brand in every direction. Within the new Travel Guide there are many scenes in which people are interacting, or trying something new, but more importantly it shows these people connecting. Vacations and explorations bring people together, to connect over a new experience. Could it be any more brilliant?
